Three Arrested in Videotaped Beating

HOBART, Ind. (WOWO): Northern Indiana police have arrested a man and two teenagers in connection with the beating of a 16-year-old boy whose assault was filmed and posted on social media.

Hobart police spokesman Detective Jeremy Ogden says an 18-year-old man was arrested Saturday along with a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old male.
Ogden tells The (Munster) Times the suspects are believed to have taken part in the recent beating at City Ball Park.

He says a concerned citizen alerted officers to the short video, posted on Facebook, showing the assailants punching and kicking the victim. Ogden says the victim sustained minor injuries.

The two younger males have been placed in juvenile custody and the older suspect will be held until charges are filed as early as Monday, when he will be identified.
