Thieves Steal Snowplows from Indianapolis Business

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Thieves made off with five large snowplows from an Indianapolis landscaping business that the owner says are worth about $6,000 each.

The theft happened Monday night at Circle City Outdoors on the city's east side after police say the group of men cut through a fence around the property and knocked out floodlights.

The business owners tell WISH-TV and WTHR-TV that each of the stolen blades that go on the front of pickup trucks weighs about 830 pounds.

Owner Donny Mullis says he's had to call out of state to fine replacement snowplows and expects that someone will be willing to buy the stolen blades from the thieves for cheap.
