FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A popular downtown destination goes under review by the Allen County plan commission tonight.

Hall's Gas House wants to expand its outdoor eatery called The Deck. But, first it needs to get approval from the city. The plan would double its size, by adding to the bar, dining area plus a kitchen.

One of the critics, Wayne Township Trustee Rick Stevenson says there are environmental issues. According to the News-Sentinel, he says the ground is still contaminated from the days it hosted a coal gas plant.

City council must also approve a plan to vacate a small strip of land that served as a right of way. Council could vote on the request this month.
