Teen Set for Court Hearing in 73-year-old’s Death

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (AP) – A teenager is set to have his initial court hearing on charges that he fatally attacked a 73-year-old man in a suburban Indianapolis neighborhood.

Fishers police arrested 17-year-old Maxwell Winkler on a murder charge Tuesday for the death of Henry Kim in a subdivision near Geist Reservoir where they both lived. Authorities haven't given a possible motive for the attack that happened while Kim was on a walk Saturday evening.

Winkler's initial court hearing is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in Noblesville.

Eunhye Korean Presbyterian Church Pastor Paul Cho tells The Indianapolis Star that Kim was among the early members of the area's Korean community.

Longtime friend Charles Chae tells WTHR-TV that Kim wasn't aggressive and wonders why his attacker shot him three times.
