Teen Injured after Mechanical Failure Sends Boat Crashing Onto Shore

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a boat accident that landed 16-year-old Riley Wagner, of New Paris, Indiana in the hospital with serious injuries.

According to officers, 18-year-old Marshall Dillon, of Goshen was preparing to dock his boat which Wagner was a passenger in, a mechanical problem occurred causing the boat to accelerate and hit the seawall sending it airborne onto land. 

The boat came to rest on private property, but when the boat hit the seawall, Wagner was ejected from the boat and she ended up in the roadway.

Wagner was taken to a local hospital where she is being treated for her injuries.
