Suspects Sought in Northeast Fort Wayne Robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Three robbery suspects are on the loose in Fort Wayne.

Fort Wayne Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a bank at State and Maplecrest Wednesday afternoon across from Georgetown Square. It happened at around 3:50 p.m. at Salin Bank. 

FWPD Spokesman Michael Joyner says the suspects wore afro wigs under their hoodies and at least one of them was armed with a silver handgun. The three suspects reportedly ran away from the bank, got in a car, and headed north on Maplecrest. 

Police are looking for a gold or silver Buick Century or Regal type of vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 436-STOP (7867).
