Stolen Siberian Husky Returned to Kokomo Owner

KOKOMO, Ind. (AP) – A stolen dog has been returned to its owner in Kokomo after surveillance video footage of the theft appeared on the local news.

Django the Siberian Husky was taken Tuesday night by two people from Micah Bennett's yard. The dog owner tells WTHR-TV (http://bit.ly/1APh92l ) that someone found Django without a collar and had someone else return him anonymously.

Bennett says he believes the thieves were concerned that the dog was outside during the winter. But he says Huskies are bred to withstand cold temperatures and prefer this kind of weather.

Bennett says a Howard County Sheriff's deputy came to his home to check on the dog about 30 minutes before he was stolen. But he says the deputy quickly learned that Django has access to a heated porch in case he gets too cold.
