STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a fugitive non-compliant registered sex offender.

An arrest warrant was issued on Tuesday, Jan. 22 for Keith Adam Kappler, 56, for failure to register as a sex or violent offender, a level 6 felony.

The arrest warrant follows an investigation that revealed Kappler was no longer living at his registered address in Steuben County. He also failed to report any change in location to the Sheriff’s Office.

Kappler is described as a white, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and 159 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair, and is known to wear glasses.

He may be in the McHenry County, Illinois area.
