ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO): The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a sex offender.

A warrant was issued Thursday for 25-year-old Samuel Brett Smith. He’s wanted on a single count of failure to register as a sex or violent offender, which is a level 6 felony.

Investigators say that Smith did not reside at his listed address on the sex offender registry and his exact whereabouts are unknown. It’s believed he could still be in the Angola area.

Smith is described as a white male standing 5’7” tall and weighs approximately 155 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Smith was last known to have facial hair.
