State Police Release Click It or Ticket Campaign Results

INDIANA (WOWO): Today, Indiana State Police announced the results of the 2015 Click It or Ticket campaign. Police say 2,973 tickets were issued for seat belt violations over the course of the program that ran from May 15th through May 31st. The results are based on electronic ticket information, and the number could increase with the reporting of hand written tickets.

Click It or Ticket is an annual campaign where more than 200 troopers work overtime to conduct seat belt patrols on the state's roads and interstates. Last year, there were 748 fatalities on Indiana roadways, nearly one-third of those fatalities were unrestrained.
