State Police Investigate Inmate Death at Grant Co. Jail

GRANT COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana Sate Police are investigating the death of a jail inmate. 27-year-old Brandon Miller, from Marion, was found Monday afternoon by correctional officers hanging from a wall handle in his jail cell. Miller was unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced dead a short time later. Officials say the early indication is that Miller died by hanging himself.

Miller was incarcerated on a Gas City arrest warrant for failure to appear for driving while suspended. He had been incarcerated in the Grant County Jail since an early morning arrest on April 18th of this year. The investigation continues.
