DELPHI, Ind. (WOWO): A year later, no justice yet for two Delphi teens whose murder made national headlines.
One year after Abby Williams and Libby German were murdered near a hiking trail in Delphi, State Police Superintendent Doug Carter says they are not giving up and that the case goes with police agencies around the state every day:
“As tips continue to come in, we’ll continue to work them the very best we can, the local law enforcement agencies that have resources, we’ll bring them together and go after the tips that we have,” Carter said.
Turning his attention to the suspect in the case, a man photographed by Libby shortly before the girls’ deaths, Carter said: “We are not going away… today may be your day, it might be tomorrow, but I can guarantee your day is coming.”
Carter says he believes the case is just one puzzle piece away from being solved, and he’s pleading with whoever knows the suspect to speak up.
The suspect is described as a white male between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing between 180 and 220 pounds with reddish-brown hair.
