State High Court Won’t Hear Gingerich Case

Paul Gingerich, the Koscuisko County boy who was 12-years-old when he was convicted in adult court in the killing of his friend’s stepfather will get new trial.  Back in December, a state appellate court threw out the guilty plea and 25-year prison sentence of Gingerich, who is now fifteen.  WSBT is now reporting that the State Supreme Court yesterday declined to hear the case.  The appellate court has now ordered that a new juvenile court hearing be held to determine in which court the case should be heard.
