State Approves Huntertown Sewage Plant Permit

HUNTERTOWN, Ind. (WOWO): Plans to build a $14 million dollar sewage plant in Northwest Allen County can move ahead.

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management has issued a discharge permit for Huntertown. The community is currently connected to the City of Fort Wayne.

According to the News-Sentinel, Huntertown wanted more control over how their sewage was handled.

Especially utility rates and future growth. Town officials say it will mean lower costs for years to come. No word yet on when construction could begin.
