SPENCERVILLE, Ind. (WOWO): A Spencerville man fell asleep behind the wheel and wrecked his car Tuesday morning.

25-year-old Nicholas Carnahan was driving eastbound on C.R. 46 east of S.R.1 at about 7:25 a.m on Tuesday.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says he was driving home from work and fell asleep behind the wheel. Carnahan’s vehicle crossed the center line, went across the westbound lane and into a ditch. The vehicle hit a concrete driveway and flipped onto its top.

Carnahan complained of leg and back pain and is being treated at a DeKalb County hospital.
