Southern Indiana Officer Wounded in Shooting

TAMPICO, Ind. (AP): Authorities say a southern Indiana police officer is recovering after being shot in the shoulder, then returning fire and wounding the gunman. The Jackson County Sheriff's Department says Officer Rick Meyer has been released from an Indianapolis hospital after being treated for his wounds from the Thursday evening shooting.
