South Bend Man Who Killed 2 Sentenced to 160 Years

  SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) _ A South Bend man convicted of killing two men and of shooting at police officers and passing motorists has been sentenced to 160 years in prison.
 
  The South Bend Tribune reports St. Joseph Superior Court Judge Jane Woodward Miller sentenced 29-year-old  Brandon Biffle to 60 years each for the murders of 55-year-old Donald Paris and 53-year-old Johnnie Avance in South Bend last August, to be served consecutively, and handed down concurrent sentences for the remaining six counts of attempted murder and one count of criminal recklessness.
 
  He was convicted in March of shooting at two cars that drove by and fired at police as they ordered at him to surrender.
 
  Biffle blamed the shootings on an evil higher power that possessed him.
