INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Six people have been charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping in the disappearance of two Indianapolis teenagers.
Authorities say 16-year-old Aaron Blackwell and his 13-year-old sister, Emma Blackwell, were abducted from their home at gunpoint early Monday and taken to Detroit, where they were separated.
Authorities say the kidnappings were in retaliation for their older sister stealing money and drugs from her former boyfriend in Detroit.
Police rescued the boy from the luggage compartment of an SUV in Detroit on Monday evening. Authorities say the girl was taken to Ohio and given $200 to take a taxi back to Indianapolis. She was found at her home on Tuesday.
The U.S. attorney's office has charged the older sister's ex-boyfriend, John Thomas, and five others in the kidnappings.
