Sierra Club Presses Indy Utility to Retire Plant

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): An environmental group is pressing Indianapolis Power and Light to retire a coal-fired power plant that's long been the city's single biggest industrial polluter. The Sierra Club says the power company's 427-megawatt Harding Street unit threatens public health with toxic emissions that cause respiratory woes in children, the elderly and others.
