Shooting Reported at Southeast Side Home

Fort Wayne police say a man was shot during a home invasion robbery at a home on Plaza Drive near Pontiac Street on the city’s southeast side.  According to scanner traffic, officers and paramedics responded at about 10:20 this morning, after someone reportedly went to the door of the home and shot the person who answered.  That victim was reported to have suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to the hospital, where he was last listed in serious condition.  Police canvassed the area following the shooting, looking for an older black male suspect. The incident is still under investigation.
