FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One woman has been arrested in a disturbing case of alleged child neglect in Fort Wayne.

Authorities were attempt to investigating a case where seven children, parents and at least three pets had crammed into a filthy a motel room on the city’s east side. 

At one point, the parents and children, ages ranging from 1 week old to 14 were rushed to a van at the Hallmark Inn.  

Officers found at least three of the children without socks or shoes, and under-dressed for the severe cold. Police also found some of the children attached with zip ties.  

The children were visibly shivering and taken inside the motel. The baby was taken to the hospital for treatment. Officers provided meals from a fast food restaurant, which they report the kids devoured.
