Sensata to Idle 50 Workers in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WOWO): Dozens of jobs are leaving Huntington.

Officials with Sensata says they'll shift 50 jobs from their Swan Street plant to Mexicali, Mexico by the end of June. That will leave about 25 jobs local. They'll remain in business and development jobs.

Last month, the company was informed workers displaced by the move would be eligible for federal aid, including training and unemployment benefits.

The plant was purchased in early 2014. That that time, Sensata indicated they would transition some plant operations to Mexico.
