Senator Young applauds signing of VA bill

(Saige Driver / 1190 WOWO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Senator Todd Young says the VA Mission Act signed by President Donald Trump finally gives veterans the right to make their own choices. Senator Young, who joined Fort Wayne’s Morning News Thursday, says, the objective of the law is to give veterans the services that they need and require.

The senator also said that this law, which both he and Indiana Democratic Senator Joe Donnelly voted in favor of, now expands eligibility for assistance to family caregivers, which he says has not been previously offered on a broad scale and also addresses opioid prescription concerns for veterans.

You can hear the entire interview with Senator Young here.

The VA Choice Act is a joke. I was eligible but there were no doctors that would accept it near me so what was the purpose of telling me I was eligible when they won’t allow doctors on the list.

Lovely bill, unfortunately your President won’t fund the bill. So you haven’t done anything.
