Sen. Coats, Mayor Henry Respond to KKK Affiliation Claims

Coats and Henry respond to hactivist group Anonymous' claims on Twitter

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Indiana politicians who were the target of an Anonymous hacktivist group's claims that they are associated with the Ku Klux Clan are denying those reports.

In fact, Senator Dan Coats called the claims “baseless internet garbage” on Twitter Monday. He says he never has had any affiliation with the KKK and deplores all forms of racial discrimination.

Coats was accused along with Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry of being associated with the United Northern and Southern Knights of the Ku Klux Klan by Anonymous

Henry says those claims are “false and irresponsible” and says racism has no place in society or his life. He says Fort Wayne celebrates and appreciates diversity and acceptance.

Norfolk, Virginia Mayor Paul Fraim called the report a hoax
