INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): An area county ranked dead last in statewide voter turnout for this month's municipal elections.
The Indiana Secretary of State's office says 21% of the more than 2.7-million eligible voters came to the polls on November 3rd; that's low enough, but in LaGrange County, the turnout was 7%. For comparison's sake, Allen County's turnout was 22.5%, while Ohio County led the state with 63% turnout.
Secretary of State Connie Lawson says the areas with the highest turnout were areas with more contested races or issues. Find a full county-by-county list here.
