Science Central is featured on the cover of travelIN magazine…

PRESS RELEASE:

Visitors to central Indiana this winter will get a special look at Fort Wayne’s Science Central. It’s featured on the cover of  the travelIN Winter 2013 issue,  and in an article entitled, “Touring the state is child’s play,” by Rebecca Wood.

The magazine, published by HNE Media of Indianapolis, is distributed in 12,000 hotel rooms in the central region of Indiana, in addition to 58 grocery stores in designated cities; 65 outdoor boxes, including downtown Indianapolis; 28 Indiana Visitor Centers; on the campuses of Indiana University, Purdue University and Ball State University; and to more than 500 businesses and corporations. More than 100,000 people will see the publication.

“Science Central is an educational and cultural treasure for the entire state,” said Science Central Executive Director Martin Fisher. “Families who live outside of Fort Wayne are discovering that we’re an excellent destination for some great learning and great fun. We’re delighted that the magazine selected Science Central to be featured on its cover, and we hope this helps bring some tourism dollars to our city.” </p>

Based on Science Central’s zip code analysis of its visitation base, and on data provided by Visit Fort Wayne – the convention and visitors’ center, Science Central’s out-of-town visitors provide an influx of over one million dollars per year to the local economy.
