Salvation Army Kettle Collection Update

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  As we get closer to Christmas, you'll continue to hear bell ringing outside of local businesses.

The Fort Wayne bell ringers are part of the Salvation Army Kettle Collection.  So far they've raised nearly $232,000 this season.  Its just over half of their $456,000 goal with less than 14 days of ringing before Christmas.   They say the money raised will help assist people in need over the course of the next year.

They also mentioned that Angel Tree tags are still out in our community, and if anyone picked one up, their gift (and the tag) needs to be returned to their pick up location or the Salvation Army by the end of this week.
