INDIANAPOLIS (AP): The leaders of a panel reviewing Indiana's school grading system say their work will be “fair and transparent.''
 
  Democratic School Superintendent Glenda Ritz and Southwest Allen County School Superintendent Steven Yager said Thursday they plan to meet weekly in order to meet a Nov. 1 deadline for recommending a new scoring system to the State Board of Education. The two are leading a 17-member group assessing Indiana's school grading system.
 
  Their assurances follow shortly after a legislative review found former School Superintendent Tony Bennett privately made changes to benefit a donor's charter school. The review also found the changes were applied evenly to other schools, but recommended the new work be done in public.
 
  Ritz also said the group will consider whether last year's grades should be changed.
