SACS tax rates to decrease

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Property owners who live within the Southwest Allen County Schools district will be paying less in taxes next year.

The Journal Gazette reports that due to a growth in assessed property values that was slightly more than the school district expected, the 2021 tax rate will drop from 88 cents per $100 of assessed valuation to around 85.6 cents.

That’s also lower than the current tax rate of 86.4 cents.

The change won’t have an impact on the school district’s estimated $83.3-million budget.

kind of deceptive presentation. If your property was valued at $1000 assessed value and you pay 1% that is $10. If they increase the value to $ 1100 but lower your tax to 0.99% you pay $ 10.89. You still pay more in actual $ . Just the game of smoke and mirrors that the Democrats play. Just like Biden saying he will not increase taxes on anyone making less that $400K. But he has promised to eliminate Trumps tax cut. That cut gave everyone who paid federal tax a $ 2000 tax cut. By eliminating this cut Biden just returns the tax to what it was and not actually officially increasing the tax. Just like Clinton’s depends on what is is. Both smoke and mirrors to hide the truth. Remember it was Biden who said that The democrats do not let the facts get in the way of Their truth as they want it presented.
