S. Ind. Man Faces Murder Charge after Bones Found

PAOLI, Ind. (AP): A southern Indiana man whose wife is missing has been charged with murder following the discovery of remains on his property.

Indiana State Police say 49-year-old Jeffrey Fulton of Paoli was arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with the disappearance of 34-year-old Michelle Fulton.

Indiana State Police Sergeant Philip Hensley says a tip led investigators to obtain a search warrant for the property about 40 miles south of Bloomington on Wednesday. Hensley says bones and other remains were found in a wooded area. He says the remains haven't been identified, and anthropologists continued excavating the site Thursday.

Hensley says Michelle Fulton disappeared more than four months ago.
