Rome City Conservancy monitoring “unusual situation” at Sylvan Lake dam

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): The Rome City Conservancy District is monitoring an “unusual situation” at the Sylvan Lake dam.

Saturday officials activated the emergency action plan for the dam due to the level of the lake. The conservancy district says they will continue to check the water level and the integrity of the dam and take any necessary action, if needed.

DNR has also issued boating restrictions on Sylvan Lake until further notice.

The conservancy district says they will continue to monitor and provide updates on the situation at the dam.
