Donald Trump named Gov. Mike Pence as his pick for vice president, according to Roll Call.

Trump is planning to announce his running mate at an event on Friday in Manhattan.

Pence, the 50th Governor of Indiana, was one of several Republicans Trump was considering for his running mate.

On Wednesday morning, Trump and some of his children met with Pence at the governor’s residence in Indianapolis.

Pence was running for re-election against former House Speaker John Gregg. Pence has until Friday at noon to drop his re-election campaign.
