Rochester Man Hurt in Snowmobile Accident, Alcohol May be Factor

ROCHESTER, Ind. (WOWO): A Rochester man was injured in a snowmobile accident over the weekend. 32-year-old Jonathan Haussmann was driving a snowmobile on Lake Manitou near the small island when he turned sharply at a fast speed to avoid the island, causing him to be thrown from the snowmobile. Haussmann was taken to a hospital for treatment for his injuries, which included a dislocated hip. Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating and believe alcohol and excessive speed were contributing factors to the accident.
