Robbery at PROFED at Stellhorn & Maplecrest

Police are investigating a bank robbery at the PROFED Credit Union at Stellhorn Road and Maplecrest. Fort Wayne police say three masked men were waiting for bank employees when they arrived this morning.  The three female employees were bound and battered and at least one shot was fired before the suspects took off on foot into the neighborhood behind the bank.  Fort Wayne police spokesperson Raquel Foster credits an alert witness with calling 9-1-1 right away and getting help to the victims as quickly as possible.  Neighbors near the bank are asked to be alert and report anything suspicious to police. Snider High School and Jefferson Middle School were on lock down; they are now back to normal security.

Meanwhile the FBI is releasing a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible.
