Ritz Makes Gubernatorial Campaign Stop in Fort Wayne

Ritz says she can unseat Gov. Pence next year

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): State Superintendent Glenda Ritz continued to exude confidence during a campaign stop in Fort Wayne Friday. In fact, she continued to state that she is the one that can beat Governor Mike Pence.

Even though she announced her candidacy in Indianapolis yesterday, she continued to state she is more than a one-issue candidate. “Leadership that listens to all sides and respects the diversity in our state. We need leadership to focus on education, jobs, economic revival, and meeting the needs of our children and families by revitalizing our communities.”

Ritz continued her stance of fighting for equal rights for all Hoosiers. “We must respect the personal and civil rights of all Indiana citizens and bring forward legislation that respects the rights of all Hoosiers.”

Ritz joins two other democrats, 2012 nominee John Gregg and state Senator Karen Tallian.

GOP leaders dismiss Ritz's record as Superintendent of Public Instruction. Ritz told the press afterwards that she she knew how to ran her department and said she accomplished a lot in her role and looks forward to defending her record.
