Rescued Woman’s Mom: Family delighted she’s home…

MOUNT VERNON, Ind. (AP) _ The mother of a woman freed after a couple allegedly held her captive for two months in southwestern Indiana says the family is overjoyed the 30-year-old is back home.

The victim's mother also said Tuesday she's pleased that her daughter's alleged captors, 37-year-old Ricky House Jr. and 44-year-old Kendra Tooley, now face rape, kidnapping and other charges.

She says the family is delighted her daughter is now home with her two children and has “complete confidence'' in prosecutors who've charged House and Tooley.

The Evansville woman vanished July 9. She was rescued Saturday by a man who visited the rural Posey County home where officials say she was raped, beaten and kept in a small wooden cage.

The Associated Press doesn't generally name victims of possible sexual assault.
