PORTLAND, Ind. (AP) _ An eastern Indiana prosecutor says authorities have recovered remains believed to those of a woman who has been missing 2 months and the focus of multiple searches.

Jay County Prosecutor Wes Schemenaur said in a news release Tuesday evening the remains were believed to be those of 25-year-old Brianna DiBattiste of Dunkirk. He says a DNA test will be performed to make a positive identification.

Jay County Coroner Jason White told The Star Press  the body was discovered Monday on the property of the county's Conservation Club, located about 50 miles south of Fort Wayne.

DiBattiste was last seen by her mother on June 16. A multi-department investigation has included searches of a house in nearby Muncie, a nature preserve in Grant County and locations in Henry County.
