Records show Bayh didn’t stay overnight in Indiana condo once in 2010

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Evan Bayh says his Indianapolis condominium has long been home. But a copy of his schedule provided to The Associated Press shows he did not stay overnight there once during his last year in the Senate in 2010.

The Democrat stayed at hotels, used campaign funds, public money or let others pick up his tab.

Bayh is trying to reclaim his old seat and victory could give a big boost to Democratic efforts to win a Senate majority. His primary residence is in Washington, D.C.

Records also show Bayh used taxpayer money for travel to New York to meet financial leaders during a job hunt in 2010.

Campaign spokesman Ben Ray says it was normal for Bayh to meet with financial leaders because he served on the Senate banking committee.

What a shocker. Is anyone or should anyone be surprised about this. He’s a liar, plain and simple. Shame on him for using taxpayers money to stay in hotels when he has/had a home that he could stay in just as easy. He’s scamming Hoosiers, Democrats and Republicans alike, and people need to realize this and don’t let Party Affiliation get in the way. He’s a career politician, plain and simple and I know we Hoosiers don’t need another liar in DC, we have plenty already.
