Ravenscroft Shooting Update: victim had rejected relationship with shooter

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A love rejected.

That’s what Fort Wayne Police say was the motive behind a shooting at Ravenscroft Beauty College in Fort Wayne that sent two women to the hospital Monday night.

The department held a press conference Tuesday afternoon to say 24-year-old Davion Brown had made advances on one of the women, 29-year-old Patricia Ann Hahn, but was rejected, so he rode his bike to the school, found her in a break room, and shot her as many as nine times with a 22-caliber handgun.

Another woman, 20-year-old Alyssa Spade of Fort Wayne, was shot once, and then Brown shot himself. Both women survived, with Hahn still hospitalized in stable condition, according to the Journal Gazette.

Brown had a history with police, having served two years in prison for a 2012 Fort Wayne bank robbery.
