FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Plans for new shops at Glenbrook Square Mall were discussed during a meeting Monday.

It was announced last month that the Glenbrook Sears store will be torn down and redeveloped as the “Shoppes at Glenbrook.”

Our partners in news at ABC 21 report “Seritage Finance” filed an application to improve the site, including proposals to knock down Sears and the auto center next to it, then add 8,000-square feet of new restaurant and retail space. The plan also includes building a Portillo’s Restaurant.

This year, the company plans to work solely on leasing out the available space, with new construction possible by 2020.
