FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Allen County Plan Commission will have their hands full during their August 11th meeting.

The Commission will be holding four public hearings for proposed housing developments in Aboite, Cedar Creek and Perry Townships, according to the Journal Gazette.

A total of 450 homes are part of the discussion among the developments, the largest of which is the Bonterra apartment complex on Coldwater Road in Perry Township. The Palmira Lakes development on West Hamilton Road will feature 135 single-family homes, Lone Oak Hills will feature 83 homes on Bass Road, and a small four-home project is proposed for Tonkel Road near the intersection with Schlatter.

Members of the public will get a chance to weigh in on each project, if they have any objections. The meeting starts at 1pm at Citizens Square in downtown Fort Wayne.

450 home residents pouring out onto a single lane highway that is already overburdened. What are our elected officials thinking?!? Someone clearly has their head up their …. or has their hand in someone’s pocket. I think it’s probably the latter.
