Private Firm Running Indiana Lottery Launches 1st Ads

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ The private company chosen to run the Hoosier Lottery has launched its first advertising campaign, a push focusing on what lottery players dream of doing if they won a big payout.

The campaign under the direction of private manager GTECH Corp. includes TV, print, radio, and outdoor advertisements. The Indianapolis Star reports that commercials which began airing last week feature a cartoon-like thought bubble to represent lottery players’ dreams.

The “Imagine That” campaign shows Indiana residents explaining their plans for their winnings in answers ranging from humorous to serious.

In one spot a Fort Wayne man says he would fund an expedition to find Bigfoot, while a Granger woman says in another she would use her winnings to have a baby because she could afford in vitro fertilization.
