Posey County Couple Charged with Holding Woman Captive

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ An Indiana couple who police say kidnapped a woman in July and held her captive for two months has been charged with rape, criminal confinement, kidnapping and other felony charges.

Posey County prosecutors filed the charges Monday against 37-year-old Ricky Roy House Jr. and 44-year-old Kendra Tooley.

A probable cause affidavit states House picked up a 30-year-old woman July 9 and took her to the couple's rural mobile home.

House allegedly put chloroform over the woman's mouth, cut off her clothing and bound her to a bed.

Court documents say House sexually assaulted the woman several times, made her wear a dog collar with a leash and locked her in a cage.

The woman was freed Saturday after 59 days by a man who visited the couple's home.
