Police Walk in on Armed Robbery

A Huntington man is behind bars for an armed robbery of a Walgreens Pharmacy, that according to our partners in news at 21 Alive.

Police were called to the Walgreens on Jefferson St. Sunday afternoon in reference to an unknown disturbance. But when officers arrived they walked in on an armed robbery in progress.

The suspect, Daniel Lee Scott, was trying to leave the store with an unknown amount of prescription medications.

Officers say the pharmacy employees were threatened with a weapon, which was later recovered. No one was injured.

Scott is being held at the Huntington County Jail on a pending Armed Robbery charge, which is a Class B felony.
