Police Searching for Clues after Recovering Vehicle from Pond

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Police and fire crews are searching for clues after recovering a vehicle from a retention pond in a Fort Wayne neighborhood.

Just after 7:30 a.m., Sunday morning, Fort Wayne fire crews got a call about a vehicle stuck in a pond in the Waterford Addition on Ballymore Drive.

Once the first fire unit arrived on the scene, a firefighter in a surface water rescue suit went into the vehicle to do a search for occupants, but no one was found. The Fire Department SCUBA team arrived and deployed divers to continue the search for possible victims and again none were found.

The vehicle was removed from the pond and no injuries were reported.
