Police Say NW Indiana Man Threatened School Shootings

A northwest Indiana who allegedly had 47 guns and ammunition in his home has been arrested after he reportedly  threatened to kill people at an elementary school there.  Cedar Lake police were called to the home of Von Meyer early Friday after he allegedly threatened to set his wife on fire.  Police say Meyer also threatened to enter Jane Ball elementary school and “kill as many people as he could.”  A search of the home turned up 47 guns and lots of ammo.  Prosecutors have filed felony intimidation charges against Meyer.  He is being held without bond.
