UPDATED: Police respond to stabbing at apartment complex

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Police say a Wednesday stabbing at an apartment complex on the city’s north side was over a domestic dispute.

Police were called to the 3300 block of Vantage Point Drive just before 11:30 a.m. That is in the Dupont Lakes Apartments complex.

Officers found a man suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, which was later upgraded to minor injuries.

Before he was transported to the hospital, he gave police a description of a vehicle and a license plate number. Officers stopped that vehicle a short time later, and the people inside, a man and woman, were taken into custody.

Police say two men showed up to an apartment on Vantage Point Drive and a fight broke out between the victim and the man in the vehicle over the woman. The men left the apartment with the woman before the stabbing allegedly took place. She was cut and received minor injuries in the incident.

An investigation is still ongoing.
