Police Release Surveillance Photos Of Dollar General Suspect

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): More clues are starting to surface from a string of Dollar General robberies, and police are asking for your help.

On Sunday, July 5th, a suspect entered the location at 6101 N. Clinton St. in Washington Square right as the store opened at 8 a.m. and stayed for 20 minutes. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with “Brooklyn Track” in white lettering and “Track” letter on along the left sleeve. He also had a white t-shirt on, gray sweatpants, white gym shots and was armed with a handgun.

He's described as a black male in his 20's with a thin build. They tracked him walking southbound by American National University at 7:45 a.m. and eventually towards the Dollar General.

In a tense moment, the suspect had the worker inside lay down and look away. As he collected money from the drawers and put them in yellow Dollar General bags, he also took the victims cell phone.

The suspect was wearing gloves at the time of the robbery. If you know anything or recognize the suspect from the surveillance photos, you're asked to call police.
