Police release Dollar General video surveillance

Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Fort Wayne Police Department is presently investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at approximately 2:22 pm at the Dollar General located at 6414 E. State Blvd.. It was reported that a male subject approached the cashier with two cans of soda as if to make a purchase, then he pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the register.  The perpetrator fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.  He fled on foot eastbound.  There were no injuries reported at the scene.

 

Suspect Description: male/Hispanic or male/white, early twenties in age, 5’6 – 5’8, approximately 140 – 155 pounds; described as having a pockmarked face, and a scraggly mustache. The suspect was also described as having a discolored or uniquely-colored left eye; described as very light blue, or almost white.  The suspect was last seen wearing a burnt orange-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.

 

Investigators are releasing in-store video surveillance which captured the suspect in the hopes of identifying him.  Anyone knowing the identity or whereabouts of this individual is asked to contact the Fort Wayne Police or Crime Stoppers at (260) 436-STOP (7867).  The incident remains under investigation with the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
