DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – Two people were arrested after a police pursuit in DeKalb County on Wednesday.

Around 1:15 a.m., a DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop a black Chevrolet SUV for traffic violations along Country Road 327 at County Road 60 in Garrett, Ind.

The driver of the SUV continued through another fence before also jumping out of the vehicle and attempting to get away on foot.

The driver was quickly apprehended and identified as Yvonne R. Handshoe.

Handshoe was arrested and faces charges of Resisting Law Enforcement with a Motor Vehicle (Level 6 Felony), Criminal Mischief (Class B Misdemeanor), Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident (Class B Misdemeanor), and Reckless Driving (Class C Misdemeanor).

Muneio’s charges are still pending.
